New Jersey State Senator Says No to Adler Challenge

State Sen. Christopher Connors closed the door — firmly — on a run for Congress on Tuesday, narrowing the GOP field for New Jersey’s 3rd district seat.

The Press of Atlantic City has Connors’ statement, in which he expressed gratitude for “the support and encouragement” he has received. “However, I must convey in the most definite terms, that I am not a candidate for Congress, nor will I seek my party’s nomination for that office,” Connors continued, saying he was prompted to release a statement due to the flood of calls to his legislative office.

CQ-Roll Call pleads guilty to being one of those calling his office.
