Louisiana: Boustany PAC Chips In to Help GOP Vulnerables

Rep. Charles Boustany on Wednesday will offer a dozen Republicans who could face tough elections a monetary helping hand by distributing some of the $100,000 that he has raised so far this cycle for his Committee for the Preservation of Capitalism political action committee.

The list of GOP Members scheduled to receive $2,500 checks from the CPC PAC includes Reps. Judy Biggert (Ill.), Brian Bilbray (Calif.), Bill Cassidy (La.), John Fleming (La.), Leonard Lance (N.J.) Chris Lee (N.Y.) Blaine Luetkemeyer (Mo.), Dan Lungren (Calif.), Thaddeus McCotter (Mich.), Erik Paulsen (Minn.) and Dave Reichert (Wash.). He is also donating to Rep. Roy Blunt (Mo.), who is running for Senate next year.

Boustany’s CPC PAC, which he inherited from former Rep. Jim McCrery (R-La.), is regularly one of the most financially active leadership PACs among Republican lawmakers. Earlier this year, Boustany cut a $5,000 check for Louisiana freshman Rep. Anh “Joseph— Cao (R), who is widely regarded as the most endangered Member up in 2010.

“Each of these Members are working hard in their districts toward their re-election, which is essential to regaining the majority,— Boustany said.
