Paxton Heads to Hill & Knowlton

Stacie Paxton, the former national spokeswoman for the Democratic National Committee, has landed at Hill & Knowlton Inc.Paxton will serve as vice president of strategic media in Hill & Knowlton’s Washington, D.C., public affairs office. As national press secretary, she oversaw day-to-day media operations and strategy at the DNC during the 2006 and 2008 cycles.According to a release from Hill & Knowlton, Paxton will advise clients on media strategy and public campaign management. The firm is based in New York, but has offices in 41 countries.Prior to the DNC, Paxton was press secretary for Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) and the Minnesota communications director for Sen. John Kerry’s (D-Mass.) presidential campaign.
