British PM to Address Congress

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown will follow in the footsteps of Winston Churchill, Margaret Thatcher and Tony Blair next week when he addresses a joint session of Congress. Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Tuesday announced Brown will come before Congress on March 4. “We look forward to hearing the Prime Minister’s views on how we can continue to work together to protect our citizens from threats of global scope, to better protect our planet from climate change, and to strengthen the world economy for workers on both sides of the Atlantic,” Pelosi said in a statement.
