Morning Business: Obama’s Brain Drain

The lure of the Obama White House must be sweet indeed.

[IMGCAP(1)]Alejandro Perez, who just last year rose to become House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer’s (D-Md.) floor director, is leaving the plum post for a job on President- elect Barack Obama’s legislative affairs team, House aides said.

Perez will be working under Dan Turton, the White House lobbying arm’s top House liaison, who in turn works for Phil Schiliro, Obama’s legislative affairs assistant. It is not yet clear who will replace Perez in Hoyer’s operation.
