Florida: New Poll Shows Keller Re-Election in Doubt

Wealthy attorney Alan Grayson (D), who came from nowhere last month to win the 8th district Democratic primary, is in a statistical dead heat with Rep. Ric Keller (R), according to a new poll out this week.

The Kitchens Group survey, which interviewed 500 likely general election voters Sept. 3-6, showed Grayson leading 44 percent to 40 percent. The poll had a 4.4-point margin of error.

Grayson surprisingly defeated 2006 candidate Charlie Stuart (D) in the Sunshine StateÂ’s Aug. 26 primary.
