Is GOP Behind Missing Chart?

In his opening remarks Friday afternoon, Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) talked about the growing number of GOP filibusters that have either slowed down or altogether scrapped pieces of legislation. However, the Velcro chart that Democrats use to update how many filibusters the Republicans have went missing. Reid loosely knew where to place the blame. “We now have a situation. I’m looking for a chart here. I don’t know what happened to it. I say that there is a hunt going on in the cloakroom for a chart. We have a few stacked back there. Maybe one of the Republican staff stole it,” Reid joked. A Democratic staffer assisted the Majority Leader with placing the numbers on a makeshift easel, as he complained about the movement, or lack thereof, of bills moving out of the legislative body. According to Reid, the Republicans are up to 82 filibusters.
