More Voters Say Obama Agrees with Them Than McCain

CNN/Opinion Research put out some more numbers from its June 4-5 poll that showed Barack Obama and John McCain with Obama ahead 49 percent to 46 percent – a statistical tie given the poll’s 3 point margin of error. (An NBC News/Wall Street Journal survey conducted June 6-9 when Hillary Clinton conceded had Obama with a 6 point lead).

Perhaps the biggest headline in the new numbers are that 56 percent of voters say Obama agrees with them on issues that matter to them most while 43 percent disagree. McCain faces tougher going on this question: 50 percent said he agrees with them on issues against 48 percent who say he does not.
