Clothes Call. Have you ever wanted to literally give the shirt off of your back to help a person? Now is your chance.
Members of Congress are partnering with the American League of Lobbyists and the Men’s Wearhouse in a clothing drive Wednesday. “Gently used” business attire will be collected in the Rayburn Foyer from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. for low-income adults and at-risk youths first entering the work force.
All donations to the first annual “Capitol PurSuit Drive: Get America Back to Work” are tax deductible and will be used by Career Gear and Working Wardrobes. The mission of these two nonprofit groups is to provide low-income people with both the proper attire and job-readiness training to ensure they can get and keep a job.
