McConnell Demurs on Passing Trade Under Obama

At his weekly news conference Tuesday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell gave away few specifics from his sit down at the White House with President Barack Obama and Speaker Paul D. Ryan, telling reporters it is important to address the Zika virus to prevent a reactionary response, as he said happened with the 2014 Ebola outbreak.

On the Asian trade deal, McConnell said only that it came up before reiterating his concerns and pouring cold water on Obama’s desire to approve the deal before he leaves office in January.
