Roll Call Looks Back at the 110th Congress

WASHINGTON, DC – Roll Call Group, Capitol Hill’s leading news source for coverage of the people, politics and process that shape the legislative landscape, today released A Look Back at the 110th Congress, a tribute to the 110th Congress

Roll Call’s award-winning team has produced this special commemorative issue to highlight the major events and players that shaped the past two years on Capitol Hill. “A Look Back” will feature a rundown of legislative accomplishments, a timeline of major events, a farewell to retiring Members and the 110th Congress Awards, as selected by the Roll Call community.

“The 110th Congress was historic from the very beginning: we saw increased Democratic majorities in both chambers, our country’s first female Speaker of the House, and a last minute bail-out package to save the U.S. financial industry,” said Roll Call Editor-in-Chief Charlie Mitchell. “It is only fitting that we pay tribute to these men and women who presided over this important Congressional session.”

A Look Back at the 110th Congress includes:

• A timeline of all significant events during the 110th Congress compiled by Lauren W. Whittington;

Matson’s World ‑ a look back at this Congressional session through the eyes of Roll Call political cartoonist, R.J. Matson; and

• The 110th Congress Awards as selected by readers of Roll Call and Congress.org, Roll Call’s website for the politically engaged citizen.
