Peter Cherukuri Named Associate Publisher of Roll Call Group


WASHINGTON, D.C., July 23, 2007 — Roll Call, the award-winning Congressional newspaper, today announced that Peter Cherukuri will join Roll Call Group as Associate Publisher/Vice President on Aug. 15.

In his role, Cherukuri will oversee the sales and marketing activities for the Group, a fast-growing, market-leading media brand made up of Roll Call, GalleryWatch and CongressNow. He will also assist Laurie Battaglia, the Publisher and Managing Director of Roll Call Group, with the overall management and growth strategies of the businesses.

“Peter is joining us at an exciting time of continued growth and expansion at Roll Call,” said Battaglia. “We look forward to the energy and ideas that he’ll bring to our business.”

Cherukuri comes to Roll Call from The Magazine Group, where he served as Vice President of Marketing and General Manager for Washington Flyer magazine. During his tenure there, he restructured marketing and sales operations, increasing profits, and secured record custom publishing sales. He has also served as Senior Brand Manager at Congressional Quarterly, Inc., and Product Development Manager at National Journal Group, giving him extensive sales, marketing and management experience.
