Secret Service to Answer Tough Questions at Tuesday Hearing
 

U.S. Secret Service Director Joesph P. Clancy will testify during a joint committee hearing Tuesday on Capitol Hill, which is expected to focus on a recent Office of the Inspector General report, showing that Secret Service employees allegedly violated the Privacy Act and department policy by accessing Rep. Jason Chaffetz’s personal information.

Two House and Senate Homeland Security Subcommittees hold a joint hearing on a Homeland Security Department report on the Secret Service’s alleged violations of the Privacy Act and department policy for illegally accessing and disclosing information from Rep. Jason Chaffetz’s failed 2003 Secret Service job application.

Secret Service Director Joseph P. Clancy, DHS Inspector General John Roth and Joel C. Willemssen, the director of information security issues at the Government Accountability Office are expected to testify.
