FBI Director: Clinton ‘Extremely Careless,’ But No Criminal Charges Recommended
 

FBI Director James B. Comey announced Tuesday that the agency is not recommending charges against Hillary Clinton for her use of a private email server during her time as Secretary of State.

“Although there is evidence of potential violation of the statutes regarding the handling of classified information, our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case,” Comey said.

Former secretary of State and 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton will testify Thursday before the House Select Committee on Benghazi about the events surrounding the 2012 terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

The Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Consumer Protection, Product Safety, Insurance and Data Security holds a hearing on FIFA, soccer’s international governing authority, which has faced recent criticism for human-rights abuses ahead of the 2022 men’s World Cup and is under federal investigation for racketeering conspiracy and corruption.  

Veteran freelance journalist Andrew Jennings and Dan Flynn, the CEO and secretary general of the U.S. Soccer Federation, are among the witnesses expected to testify.
