Three-term Republican Rep. Tim Huelskamp lost his primary to OB-GYN Roger Marshall in the sprawling 1st District of Kansas Tuesday night.   

With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Marshall unseated Huelskamp 56 to 44 percent.

Republican Rep. Tim Huelskamp is getting help from the Club for Growth as he faces a tough primary on Kansas' August 2 election.  

The group's political action committee, Club for Growth Action, released an ad Monday, attacking Huelskamp's GOP primary opponent, Roger Marshall, for supporting a bill "that grows the debt by hundreds of billions."

The Republican primary opponent of Kansas Rep. Tim Huelskamp says their Kansas race is a dead heat — and he has a poll to prove it.  

A survey from Republican polling firm Public Opinion Strategies shows OB-GYN Roger Marshall drawing 41 percent of the GOP primary vote in the state's 1st Congressional District, effectively even with Huelskamps's 42 percent of the vote.
