Trump’s Border Wall Shutdown Threats Continue, But Still Not Convincing Many Hill Republicans
 

President Donald Trump has made multiple threats to shut down the government over border wall funding, but some Republicans in Congress including leaders don’t see that as a likely scenario. 

“We have a very good understanding with the president that we want to get our appropriations done,” Speaker Paul D. Ryan said at a news conference on Thursday when asked about a possible shutdown.
