Republican Claudia Tenney will defeat Democrat Kim Myers and Upstate Jobs Party candidate Martin Babinec in New York’s 22nd District, The Associated Press projects.

Tenney led Myers and Babinec 46 percent to 42 percent and 12 percent, respectively, with 82 percent of precincts reporting.

Retiring Rep. Richard Hanna was a member of the "Never Trump" movement but now he is with her.   

The New York Republican said, in an op-ed posted on , he can't support GOP nominee Donald Trump for president because "he is unfit to serve our party and cannot lead this country."

Democrats are in a New York State of mind. 

Their party must pick up 30 seats to win control of the House, and to even come close, they need to sweep all or most of the competitive New York seats.
