Jon Kyl Sworn In to Senate, Again

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey selected Jon Kyl to replace the late Sen. John McCain, bringing the longtime former senator back to Congress at least through the end of this year. Kyl served alongside McCain in the Senate from 1995 to 2012, and has agreed to serve through the end of the 115th Congress, although his appointment from the governor allows him to stay on until 2020, when a special election would be held to fill the remainder of McCain’s term through 2022.
