Less than three weeks before Election Day, would-be safe incumbents such as Reps. Lee Terry, R-Neb., and Brad Schneider, D-Ill., are scrambling to win in partisan districts — while these 10 members are headed for victory in otherwise competitive districts.

House Minority Whip Steny H. Hoyer has jam-packed several campaigning events and fundraisers over recess on behalf of House candidates.

The Maryland Democrat's tour will take him to Michigan, Ohio and Massachusetts, where he will campaign and fundraise for a handful of House contenders and one incumbent over the next few days.

House Republicans Raise $3 Million for Vulnerable Members

The National Republican Congressional Committee will announce it has raised $3 million total for the 20 vulnerable incumbents through its Patriot program, according to figures provided first to Roll Call.

On Thursday, House Republican leaders hosted their second "Patriot Day" of the cycle — a fundraising event that contributed to that $3 million total. The Patriot program provides resources to the party's most vulnerable House members for their re-election efforts, including fundraising and communications support.

The National Republican Congressional Committee will announce Monday that it has added nine members to its vulnerable incumbent program for the 2014 cycle, according to information provided exclusively to CQ Roll Call.

The Patriot program provides fundraising and communications support to incumbents who meet certain NRCC benchmarks in their re-election campaigns. The nine Patriot program additions join 11 House Republicans whom the NRCC already deemed vulnerable.

Former state Rep. Jennifer Garrison announced Monday that she will challenge GOP Rep. Bill Johnson for his conservative, southeast Ohio district.

“Both political parties have not focused enough on jobs, job security, and the kitchen table issues that our neighbors and families face everyday," Garrison said in a release.

Ohio: Charlie Wilson Responds With Own Poll in 6th District Race

Former Rep. Charlie Wilson's (D) campaign released new internal polling numbers today showing him with a 6-point lead over freshman Rep. Bill Johnson (R).

Wilson led Johnson 49 percent to 43 percent in the poll paid for by the Democrat's campaign.

Ohio: GOP Poll Gives Bill Johnson 8-Point Lead

Rep. Bill Johnson (R) led former Rep. Charlie Wilson (D) by 8 points in their rematch of the 2010 race, according to a GOP survey released today.

Johnson had 47 percent and Wilson had 39 percent in the survey paid for jointly by the freshman lawmaker and the National Republican Congressional Committee.

Ohio: Charlie Wilson Poll Shows Tied Race With Bill Johnson

The campaign of former Rep. Charlie Wilson (D) released a poll Tuesday showing him in a dead heat with freshman Rep. Bill Johnson (R).

Wilson tied Johnson at 46 percent, with 8 percent of the electorate still undecided, according to the Democrat’s internal campaign survey.
