Minnesota DFL Makes No Endorsement to Succeed Nolan
Leah Phifer and Joe Radinovich had the most support, but none reached required 60 percent

After 10 hours of deliberation, delegates for the Democratic Farmer-Labor Party voted not to endorse any candidate to run for the seat Minnesota Rep. Rick Nolan is vacating.

None of the five candidates running to succeed Nolan for the 8th District seat  were able to reach the required 60 percent of support to receive the state party’s endorsement, MinnPost reported.

Democratic-Farmer-Labor Rep. Rick Nolan has defeated Republican Stewart Mills in their rematch in Minnesota’s 8th District, the Associated Press projects. 

Nolan led Mills 50.29 percent to 49.71 percent, with 100 percent of precincts reporting.

DULUTH, Minn. — With less than two weeks until Election Day, Vice President Joe Biden hit the campaign trail Friday for a House candidate in a must-hold seat for the Democrats.

Incumbent Rep. Rick Nolan, a member of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, is running for re-election in one of the most expensive House districts in the country — a district whose Iron Range, about an hour north of here, has fallen on tough times.
