National Youth Science Day is as good of a time as ever to teach kids about drones.

Kari Byron, one of the hosts of “Mythbusters,” and Megan Smith, the White House’s chief technology officer, are helping more than 100,000 kids nationwide mark the day by learning more about drones.

The official event, hosted by National 4-H Council, is at the National Press Club (529 14th St. NW) from 8:30 a.m. to noon. But every state also has local events scheduled.

Hurricane delay

President Barack Obama was scheduled to campaign today for Hillary Clinton in Miami Gardens, Florida, but the Clinton campaign sent out a note, “Due to Hurricane Matthew, this event has been postponed.” All ticket holders for the Florida Memorial University event will have to wait until the storm passes.
