Hickenlooper ends presidential campaign, but doesn’t rule out Senate

Former Colorado governor was unable to gain traction in crowded Democratic field

On Thursday, former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper announced the end of his 2020 presidential campaign.

Democrats, including Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer, have urged him to take on Republican Sen. Cory Gardner instead, and he said he would give that “serious thought.”
