Armed with Science , a Defense Dept. sponsored site, reports on "Super Vision," stating that "sometimes it’s what you don’t see that’s the most dangerous."
The piece continues: "This is especially true when it comes to the battlefield. Human eyes can only do so much. For as much as service members are trained to have a keen eye, there are so many things that could block their sight. Things like enemy camouflage, night operations, inclement weather, or even unseen deadly gasses are all threats that, if gone undetected, could mean the difference between life and death."
"So what can we do about it? Well, the Army Research Lab is already working on a solution that would, effectively, give service members 'Super Vision.'"
"It sounds like a video game character upgrade doesn’t it? Except that this is real, it’s amazing, and it could change combat operations forever."
