The House considers several measures under suspension of the rules: bills on hydropower improvements and hydroelectric licenses and projects, as well as a measure on grants to help veterans with military emergency medical training become EMTs.
The House and Senate hold a joint session of Congress at 9 p.m. for President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address.
