The House will consider several bills under suspension of the rules, including on waste and abuse in government spending, Government Accountability Office mandates and the D.C. courts. The chamber also expects a motion to go to conference on the fiscal 2013 defense authorization bill.
The Senate will resume consideration of a bill that would extend for two years the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation’s Transaction Account Guarantee program, which provides unlimited deposit insurance coverage for non-interest-bearing transaction accounts. A vote on a cloture motion is scheduled for noon, but a budgetary point of order also may be raised.
