The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee will begin a digital ad campaign over the Labor Day weekend, hitting 18 GOP incumbents on labor issues such as increasing the minimum wage and overtime rules.
The paid digital ad campaign will run on Twitter, and are geo-targeted to voters in these 18 contests Democrats are hoping to pick up in 2016. They are designed like coupons "good for one sellout on issues that matter to working families."
Some are noticeably absent from the target list, such as Reps. John Katko of New York and Will Hurd of Texas — two members in races rated a Tossup.
The 18 members Democrats are going after in the digital campaign are:
- Rep. Jeff Denham in California's 10th District
- Rep. David Valadao in California's 21st District
- Rep. Steve Knight in California's 25th District
- Rep. Carlos Curbelo in Florida's 26th District
- Rep. Rod Blum in Iowa's 1st District
- Rep. David Young in Iowa's 3rd District
- Rep. Robert J. Dold in Illinois' 10th District
- Rep. Mike Bost in Illinois' 12th District
- Rep. Bruce Poliquin in Maine's 2nd District
- Rep. Dan Benishek in Michigan's 1st District
- Rep Tim Walberg in Michigan's 7th District
- Rep. Mike Bishop in Michigan's 8th District
- Rep. John Kline in Minnesota's 2nd District
- Rep. Cresent Hardy in Nevada's 4th District
- Rep. Frank C. Guinta in New Hampshire's 1st District
- Rep. Lee Zeldin in New York's 1st District
- Rep. Ryan A. Costello in Pennsylvania's 6th District
- Rep. Patrick Meehan in Pennsylvania's 7th District
