Stephanie Ueng has been hired as legislative director to Rep. Tammy Duckworth, D-Ill. Ueng was outreach adviser in the leadership office of Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. She also has worked as a legislative fellow for Rep. Andre Carson, D-Ind. She also was a legal fellow at Jeffrey J. Chang & Associates. She was a member of the board of directors for the Conference on Asian Pacific American Leadership.

Thomas Moore has joined the Center for Strategic & International Studies as proliferation prevention program deputy director. Moore was a senior adviser on the Republican staff for the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. He also worked as a staff assistant on the Republican staff of the Senate Armed Services Committeeís Subcommittee on Strategic Forces. He was also an intern with the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

Lori Plotkin Boghardt has been named a fellow in Gulf politics at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy. She has also worked as a senior analyst and research manager at SAIC. She also served at the CIA. She served as a fellow at the Brookings Institution, a liberal-leaning think tank. She was an analyst at RAND Corp.

Neal Sullivan has been named a partner at Sidley Austin. He was the practice group leader of Bingham McCutchenís broker-dealer group. He served as the executive director of the North American Securities Administrators Association. He was a vice president of regulation at the Boston Stock Exchange. He also was chief of the Massachusetts securities division.

Michael D. Wolk has been named a partner at Sidley Austin. He was a partner at Bingham McCutchen. He has also worked as a partner at Foley & Lardner. He was vice president and chief counsel at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority under Presidents George Bush and Bill Clinton. He was also branch chief in the division of enforcement at the Securities and Exchange Commission under Presidents Ronald Reagan and George Bush. He was an attorney-adviser at the IRS.

Barton Gellman has been named a senior fellow at The Century Foundation. He is a contributing editor-at-large for Time magazine. He also is an author in resident at Princeton Universityís Woodrow Wilson School. He also has worked as a special projects reporter at The Washington Post.

Sam S. Sheldon has been hired as a partner and as head of the health care fraud group at Quinn, Emanuel, Urquhart & Sullivan. Sheldon was deputy chief of the criminal fraud division and head of the health care fraud unit at the Justice Department. He has worked as an assistant U.S. attorney in the southern district of Texas. He has also worked as a litigation partner at Cozen OíConnor, a law and lobbying firm.

Lanny A. Breuer has been hired as vice chairman of law and lobbying firm Covington & Burling. Breuer was an assistant attorney general for the Justice Departmentís criminal division. He has served in the White House counselís office as special counsel to president under Clinton. He has also worked at Covington as co-chairman of the white collar defense and investigations practice group and as vice chairman of the firmís public service committee.
