David A. Bergeron has been hired as vice president for higher education at the Center for American Progress, a liberal-leaning think tank. Bergeron is the acting assistant secretary for postsecondary education at the Education Department. He also serves at the department as deputy assistant secretary for postsecondary policy, planning and innovation.
John W. Bode has been hired as CEO of the Corn Refiners Association, a trade group. Bode is the owner of John Bode LLC. He has worked at the Agriculture Department as assistant secretary of Agriculture for food and consumer services. He also has worked as a republican staff member for the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry Committee.
