Nats fans, it's time to show pitching coach and former model Steve McCatty your appreciation.
This weekend's series at Nationals Park pitting the Washington Nationals against the Philadelphia Phillies provides the D.C. hometown fans their first chance to show McCatty some love since revelations of his posing for Playgirl became public.
The Nats are finally back at home tonight after a rough West Coast swing that they got through, 4-6, along with injuries to Bryce Harper and Wilson Ramos and slumps by the entire offense. But the real story of the trip was finding out that McCatty, when he was pitching for the Oakland Athletics in the 1980s, posed for the beefcake mag.
So the first time McCatty trudges out in his trademark slow-jam style to the mound to calm a pitcher or stall for time, how about a nice standing ovation for Washington's newest sex symbol?
