The Podesta Group this week launched a new company, Global Solutions. Arturo Sarukhan, a former Mexican ambassador to the United States, will serve as its chairman.
A press release on the new unit noted that it was being created “with an eye toward the ever-evolving and complex global marketplace” and would work on negotiations over the Trans-Pacific Partnership and Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership, among other issues.
The firm, in general, plans to focus on the intersection of trade and economic policy, politics and diplomacy.
“The world, its political dynamics and its markets are changing at a rapid pace,” Podesta Group founder Tony Podesta said. “Arturo has the right set of relationships, experience, tools and vision for those around the globe who want and need to rethink how best to engage the United States and its allies.”
Delany’s New DigsSNR Denton has added Megan Delany to its telecommunications and technology practice.
Delany has more than 15 years of legislative and regulatory experience in the telecommunications industry, and she arrives from Alaska-based wireless company General Communication Inc., where she was vice president for governmental affairs and counsel.
