The Republican National Committee hired GOP operative Izzy Santa as its new Hispanic media communications director.
A veteran of Ohio politics, Santa has worked for the Consumer Electronics Association, Mitt Romney’s 2012 Ohio campaign and the Cato Institute. She is a native of Puerto Rico.
A handful of operatives at Lauer Johnson Research and Custom Strategic Research banded together last week to form a new firm, LJR Custom Strategies.
The new venture will include Jennifer Johnson and David Dougherty as principals, Pennilane Carlisle as vice president and Jim Lauer as senior consultant.
Peter Boylan, former deputy chief of staff for the late Sen. Daniel K. Inouye, joined Rep. Colleen Hanabusa’s Hawaii Senate campaign as a volunteer spokesman based in Washington, D.C. Boylan will continue his work with the Time Warner Cable’s government relations division.
Lincoln Park Strategies recently added Kevin Schmidt to its team as an analyst who will focus “on U.S. political campaigns, issue advocacy, and non-profit organizations,” according to a news release.
Schmidt comes to Lincoln Park Strategies after six years as an assistant analyst at Hart Research and Associates.
