WednesDaze: Polishing Off Pitchers with Our Future Leaders

Why wait an extra 24 hours for the Republican primary debates to get faced when you can crush pitchers of cold brew Wednesday?

That’s right, the politically themed debauching can begin in earnest today during the “Pitchers and Politics Pre-Debate Happy Hour.”

Approximately 23 hours before Fox News Channel even pretends to care what the struggling-to-catch-on GOP presidential candidates have on their minds, the College Republican National Committee and George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management plan to welcome those thirsting for knowledge to Stanton & Greene (319 Pennsylvania Ave. SE) for some hump day action. The youth-centric gathering — one need only be 18 to attend, but only those 21-and-up will be privy to the open bar — is part of CRNC’s ongoing outreach throughout the D.C. Metro area.

“This is just one way to energize some of the different groups around town,” CRNC executive director Gus Portela told HOH about the friendly gathering.

The party is scheduled to go from 6 to 9 p.m. And there’ll be more to come as the clock ticks down to Election Day 2016.

“We are planning more events closer to the fall to keep students/interns/young professionals energized ahead of the presidential debates,” Portela shared in an email.
