The Republican State Leadership Committee will announce Ellie Wallace as the group's new communications director, according to information provided first to CQ Roll Call.
“We are excited to welcome Ellie to the RSLC as we prepare for a new election cycle dedicated to electing Republicans at the state level,” said RSLC President Matt Walter in a news release scheduled for wide distribution on Friday morning. “Following the RSLC’s record-breaking 2014 election victories, I am confident Ellie’s communications experience with campaigns around the country will be a valuable contribution to help lead our organization into its next chapter.”
Wallace heads to the RSLC from the Republican National Committee. At the RNC, she served as director of media affairs, helping oversee and book GOP surrogates during the party's successful 2014 election cycle.
She will now help lead communications for the RSLC, which is seeking to defend its historic majorities in state legislatures.
Wallace said she looks forward to helping the RSLC promote its efforts to recruit and elect more women and minority candidates.
“Through their many successful programs like the Future Majority Project and 'Right Women, Right Now,' I look forward to continuing the RSLC’s legacy of promoting and electing strong Republican women, diverse candidates, and proven leaders in states nationwide,” Wallace said in a statement.
