After Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., served jury duty this year, she said she would try to repeal the law that lets lawmakers skip out on their civic responsibility. On Thursday, she teamed up with Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., to introduce a one-sentence bill to end exemption for members of Congress summoned by the courts.

In January, McCaskill left jury duty, which she said was on her bucket list , to return to Washington for a Senate vote.
