Alaska Delegation to Fete ‘Pipeline Pioneers’

The energy lobby will attempt to stoke warm and fuzzy feelings Tuesday about The El Dorado of the North by hosting a screening of “Pipeline Pioneers,” a series of short films chronicling the iconic Trans-Alaska Pipeline.

The series of short films were produced by a pro-exploratory consortium composed of Arctic for All, the Alaska Support Industry Alliance and Consumer Energy Alliance, a trio that’s been leaning on President Barack Obama — and will presumably attempt to sway whomever moves into 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. next fall — to allow construction of the polarizing Keystone XL project.
