HOH’s One-Minute Recess: Super Gabby

Have you ever wished, dear reader, that you could read about Rep. Gabrielle Giffords’ life in comic book form?

Well, it turns out that your wish is someone’s command, because a hero isn’t a hero without a comic book platform to be placed on.

The Arizona Democrat, who was shot and critically injured at a Congressional meet-and-greet in Tucson, Ariz., just more than a year ago, will be immortalized in the comic book series, “Female Force,” reports HLN TV.

The comic book, published by Bluewater Productions, will focus on Giffords’ personal and professional life but mostly focus on the shooting and her subsequent recovery. The company characterizes Giffords’ story as a “great American comeback story.”

Giffords is in good comic book company. She joins the “Female Force” stable of stars, which includes first lady Michelle Obama, mogul Martha Stewart, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, TV personality Ellen DeGeneres, author Anne Rice, former GOP Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Barbie’s creator Ruth Handler, among others.

Die-hard “Female Force” fans can download the latest issue to their e-reader but must wait until Jan. 29 to get their mitts on the print version.
