Word on the Hill: Things to Do in D.C. on Easter

Lots of brunch options in the DMV

The Senate Chaplain’s Easter service is today in the Hart Senate Office Building, Room 902, noon - 1 p.m.

Whether you’re celebrating Easter or not, here are a few restaurants offering specials for brunch this Sunday:

On Capitol Hill
Ambar: 523 Eighth St. SE; brunch at D.C.’s first Balkan restaurant is a fixed price of unlimited small plates and cocktails from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for $39 per person. The Clarendon location is also having a fixed price brunch at $34 a person (2901 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, Virginia)

Near Capitol Hill
Cuba Libre: 801 Ninth St. NW; their popular Unlimited Tapas brunch is available from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for $29 per person.

Espita Mezcaleria: 1250 Ninth St. NW; their popular Precio Fijo brunch is priced at $29 per person.

Near the White House
The Oval Room: 800 Connecticut Ave. NW; brunch will be offered from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. — a three-course menu is $55 per person or $75 per person with wine pairings.

The Bombay Club: 815 Connecticut Ave. NW; brunch will be a Champagne buffet priced at $40 per person and offered from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Hay-Adams: 800 16th St. NW; brunch is available at the top floor from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for $120 per person.

Other areas
Takoda: 715 Florida Ave. NW; brunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and includes classics like red velvet pancakes, brisket hash and chicken and sweet potato waffle. Bottomless mimosas before food is $20 per person. Takoda also has a rooftop beer garden.

Ocean Prime: 1341 G St. NW; offering a special a la carte brunch menu beginning at 11 a.m., to run all day. Specials include crab and eggs, braised short rib surf & turf, and their signature bloody mary.

Fogo de Chao: The Tysons Corner location (1775 Tysons Blvd. Ste 50) is extending its hours to make brunch available until 2 p.m. Prices range from $35 to $43.

Entyse Bistro: At The Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner (1700 Tysons Blvd.), the new restaurant has a $54 brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Highlights include a caviar station, carrot cake with mascarpone cream and bottomless wine and mimosas.

Blue Duck Tavern: 24th and M Streets Northwest; brunch will be offered from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and is priced at $125 a person. Highlights include their Nutella French toast and hot fried rabbit and waffles.

Ardeo+Bardeo: 3311 Connecticut Ave. NW; a a three-course brunch menu will be offered from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. priced at $39 per person.

701 Restaurant: located at 701 Pennsylvania Ave. NW; a three-course brunch menu will be offered from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. priced at $55 per person.

Rasika: The Penn Quarter location (633 D St. NW) offers an a la carte lunch and dinner with specialties including khatta meetha scallop, cauliflower bezule and palak chaat. The West End location (1190 New Hampshire Ave. NW) is offering an a la carte brunch from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
