Here are the details on events surrounding the ceremonies.
Plan your day
9 a.m.–10:30 a.m.: TheCongressional Black Caucus swearing-in at the Warner Theatre, 513 13th St. NW. The event is closed to the public.
11 a.m.–4:30 p.m.: Florida Democrat Debbie Wasserman Schultz open house in 1114 Longworth House Office Building.
11:30 a.m. - noon: Rep-elect John Faso open house in 1616 Longworth House Office Building.
Noon: Rep-elect Anthony Brown event for guests to watch the swearing-in, Library of Congress.
1 p.m.: Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr., conducts the Senate swearing-in in the old Senate chamber.
1:30 p.m.–3 p.m.: Rep-elect Lisa Blunt Rochester reception at the Library of Congress.
2:25 p.m.: Speaker Paul D. Ryan conducts the House swearing-in.
6 p.m.–7:30 p.m.: EMILY’s List celebration for the 12 new pro-choice Democratic women elected to Congress at the Liaison Capitol Hill Hotel, 415 New Jersey Ave. NW.
Sean Savett will serve as press secretary for Sen.-elect Tammy Duckworth of Illinois. Savett worked with Duckworth’s campaign as a senior adviser for communications.
