While food in grocery stores flew off the rack, D.C. restaurant week took a hit from Winter Storm Jonas.

So on Wednesday, several establishments close to the Capitol announced they were willing to extend their restaurant week deals. Restaurant week was originally set from Jan. 25 to Jan. 31. The Capitol Hill staple the Monocle, will open its doors this Saturday evening for restaurant week, owner John Valanos told HOH. The Monocle usually is only open on weekends for special occasions, Valentine’s Day and wedding parties. On Monday, the restaurant was closed and on Tuesday it was very quiet.

Café Berlin is extending its deal a full week, until Sunday, Feb. 7. The Capitol Hill spot was open on Monday of this week, but didn't see much business.

Ambar, the Eastern European Restaurant on Barracks Row, is also extending its deal another full week.

The restaurant week deal is $22 three-course lunch and $35 three-course dinner per person.
