In a continued effort to personally reverse declining U.S. birth rates, Rep. Sean Duffy announced that he and his wife, conservative television commentator Rachel Campos-Duffy, are expecting their ninth (!) child later this year.

“God isn’t done with our family yet!” the Wisconsin Republican said in a statement. “Baby number nine coming to the crew this fall! Rachel said it best — we aren’t crazy, we are just full of hope for America’s future!”

Duffy, a former star of MTV’s “Real World: Boston,” met former “Real World: San Francisco” participant, Rachel Campos, on a different MTV show, “Road Rules: All-Stars.” The two now have enough potential contestants to start their own reality TV show.

“Listen, it was a very long, cold winter and I have a very cute husband,” Campos-Duffy told “Fox & Friends” on Wednesday morning. “It was bound to happen.”

The Duffys, both 47, are a glaring exception to current U.S. birth trends. In 2017, the fertility rate dipped below the level needed to replace a population, according to the National Center for Health Statistics.

But Duffy, who loves to preach the gospel of fiscal responsibility, seems to be doing all he can to make sure someone is around to pay for the ticking solvency time bomb that is Social Security.
