Newt Gingrich has a tight schedule for Inauguration Day, and the only way he can get to everything on his to-do list is to become superpowerful via executive order.
Speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference, the candidate for the GOP presidential nomination laid out his first couple of hours in office as follows.
Pre-inauguration, before he even takes the oath of office, Gingrich says he will demand Congress repeal the health care legislation, the Dodd-Frank bill and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
Two hours after he takes the oath, the real work will begin.
Gingrich will begin his governing by signing several executive orders. The first will abolish all the executive branch czars. The second will give the go-ahead to start laying Canadian (oil) pipe.
His message to Canadian President Stephen Harper: Do not be friends with China! Newt is a'comin'! America is on its way!
Next on his executive order list: Demand the State Department open an embassy in Jerusalem.
Then he will reinstate "President Ronald Reagan's Mexico City policy," which requires all nongovernmental organizations that receive federal dollars to refrain from performing or promoting abortions.
After that, Gingrich pledges to "repeal every act of religious bigotry" that the Obama administration has passed.
Gingrich promised the crowd that by the time President Barack Obama's plane touches down in Chicago following the inauguration, President Newt will have undone 40 percent of Obama's policies.
