Staffers who live and die by the omnipresent snack dispensers that dot congressional office buildings can, on Wednesday, feast on the future offerings the National Automatic Merchandising Association plans to dish out as part of its lobbying day.
Members of the self-proclaimed “refreshment services industry” are expected to share a preview of the healthy alternatives making their way into coin-operated circulation during a reception slated to be held in Rayburn 339B from noon to 2 p.m.
Per a NAMA aide, some of the alternative munchies that should be up for grabs include: Trio nut bars, Fiber One bars, Nature Valley granola bars and Nutri-Grain cereal bars. No word on what types of guilty pleasures (oversized bear claw, anyone?) might also be on the table.
