Politically active seniors are circling D.C. this week, dispensing gourmet cookies and pro-Medicare Advantage anecdotes via the advocacy tool du jour: a custom food truck.
Now through Wednesday, track our truck for a treat in support of our 16M #MedicareAdvantage seniors. #sweetsNstories pic.twitter.com/1CA1g1L8cA — MA Food Truck (@MAFoodTruck) March 9, 2015
The MA Food Truck (@MAFoodTruck ), the mobile counterpart to the brick-and-mortar Coalition for Medicare Choices, is expected to crisscross the Capitol complex for the next few days. The welcome wagon should be parked outside Union Station (target zone: 400 N. Capitol St.) Monday until 3 p.m., and is slated Tuesday (weather-permitting) to traffic between that spot and the Capitol South Metro around C and Third streets Southeast during the same time period.
Those choosing to chase down the rolling soapbox can expect to be treated to 12-ounce cups of fresh joe (regular or decaf), skim milk, artisan sweets (3,000 vanilla iced cookies and sugar-free short breads, to be exact, courtesy of District Desserts ) and all the “protect my Medicare” stories one can stomach.
