DES MOINES, Iowa — Texas Gov. Rick Perry acquired another Congressional endorsement for his presidential campaign Monday.
Rep. Sam Graves (R-Mo.) announced his support for Perry two days after the Republican governor entered the race for the White House.
“It’s important for Republicans to nominate someone who not only has a vision of how to create jobs, but who has done it,” Graves said in a statement. “That’s why I am endorsing Texas Governor Rick Perry for President. Gov. Perry has led the way in Texas on creating an environment for job growth. He can articulate our vision for creating jobs, with a record to back it up.”
On Monday, Perry visited the Iowa State Fair, greeting revelers and enjoying the local treats, such as pork on a stick. A gaggle of reporters followed Perry everywhere as he walked around the expansive fairgrounds.
