Hillary Clinton's campaign is increasing its staff in Georgia as the Democratic presidential nominee gains ground in the state.
According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Tracey Lewis, a Clinton campaign deputy, will lead grass-roots efforts in the state.
A recent AJC poll showed Clinton with a slight lead over Republican nominee Donald Trump in Georgia. Clinton's husband Bill was the last Democratic presidential candidate to carry the Peach State, in 1992.
The Trump campaign dismissed the effort from the Clinton campaign, saying the staff increases are "the only jobs Hillary will be creating in Georgia."
