Another Guilty Plea Links to More Federal Contributions

An individual contractor of Washington businessman Jeffrey Thompson's old firm has pleaded guilty in the U.S. District Court to acting as a straw donor using corporate funds for contributions to federal candidates and committees, among others.

Stanley L. Slaughter pleaded guilty yesterday to a misdemeanor count of making contributions in 2010 to Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton, D-D.C., and Sen. Arlen Specter, D-Pa. Slaughter made $132,600 in contributions under his name and the names of others, when the funds came from Thompson's accounting firm.
