Our first brush with R.J. goes back decades, and he's been our principal cartoonist ever since. When we had the chance to provide him with a more interactive way to express himself with this blog, the die was cast. He'll sketch for readers the back-story of his work, revisit previous cartoons to riff on the creative process and comment on other things that come to mind. The blog will also serve as the new home for our Capitol Quip captioning contest. So if you've got a caption for this week's cartoon , go to the Capitol Ink post and leave your entry in the comments section, just like you did previously in Capitol Quip's initial home, Heard on the Hill.
So "toon" in to this blog for more to come. We hope you'll feel the same we do about inking this deal.
