Quigley Nails Election for Emanuel’s House Seat

Cook County Commissioner Mike Quigley (D) will succeed White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel in Illinois’ 5th district. With 68 percent of precincts reporting, Quigley defeated Rosanna Pulido (R) and a little-known Green Party candidate with 71 percent of the vote for the House seat, according to the Associated Press.
