HOH’s One-Minute Recess: Elsewhere in Literary News

With the book by former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) creating the Washington version of “Harry Potter” madness, it’s easy to forget that there are political authors with tomes to hawk who don’t hail from Wasilla. They might not have perched on Oprah’s couch or gotten multimillion-dollar advances, but a handful of Congressional authors will be at the National Press Club’s annual book fair tonight. Bonus: Rod Blagojevich is slated to be there, too! Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.) and his “The Waxman Report: How Congress Really Works,” Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) and her novel, “Blind Trust,” and former Sen. Max Cleland with “Heart of a Patriot” are on the roster of authors for this evening’s event. And although best-selling Palin won’t be there, we’re still hoping for some drama: Can Ann Coulter and Kinky Friedman get adjoining tables?Submit your hot tips, juicy gossip or comments here. Can’t get enough HOH?
