The campaign committee of Sharron Angle, the 2010 Republican candidate against Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., has paid a $25,725 penalty in a settlement negotiated with the Federal Election Commission.
of the Friends of Sharron Angle committee by the FEC found that the campaign had not filed 48-hour pre-election disclosure notices for $243,750 in contributions, and the campaign had not itemized $2,287,080 in debts and obligations.
The Angle campaign raised and spent $28 million from February 2009 to December 2010. The committee has $16,802 in cash on hand as of March 31. The accounting was handled by paid staff of the committee. The law firm of Foley and Lardner was paid $3,885 in the first quarter of 2013 for legal fees.
